Junipurr Jewellery – Gold Moon Threadless End

A softly sculpted crescent moon with a calm, familiar presence. This is a quiet staple within fine body jewellery, simple, symbolic, and easy to return to whether worn alone or layered into a more detailed ear curation.

Crafted by Junipurr Jewellery in solid 14ct gold, the moon is finished with smooth, rounded edges and a gentle curve that sits comfortably against the ear. The polish is clean and even, allowing the form to speak for itself without added texture or embellishment.

Designed for versatility, the Gold Moon works beautifully stacked with other ends, paired with hoops, or worn as a subtle standalone detail. The threadless fit keeps the profile low and secure, making it well suited to long-term wear across a wide range of placements.

Delivery times are dependent not only on the postal service but also on stock availability:
In-stock items are generally shipped the same day if the order is placed before 2pm Tuesday–Friday (excluding UK Bank Holidays).

Supplier-sourced items can vary widely in lead times. Some brands ship to us within a few days, while others may take up to 4 months depending on the manufacturer.
Custom-made pieces are crafted to order by certain brands, which naturally extends fulfilment times. Any extended timeframes will be noted on the product here

At Jynx all of the APP-approved brands we carry stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of their jewellery and offer a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing defects.

This means that if there is ever an issue related to the way a piece was made, such as a fault in materials or workmanship, the brand will repair or replace it in line with their warranty policy.

Please note that lifetime guarantees do not cover loss, normal wear and tear, accidental damage, or improper use. If you believe your jewellery has a manufacturing defect, simply contact us and we’ll be happy to help guide you through the warranty process.

Fine body jewellery is made to a different standard than fashion or high-street jewellery. Pieces like this are produced from solid gold or implant-grade metals, manufactured to tight tolerances, and designed to be worn safely inside the body for long periods of time.

These materials and production standards are commonly used by professional piercers and trusted manufacturers, which results in higher costs than plated or mass-market alternatives — but also greater comfort, durability, and consistency over time.

We stock jewellery from manufacturers trusted in professional piercing studios. All pieces are designed specifically for body piercing use, not adapted from standard fashion jewellery. what about these

Where gold is listed, it refers to solid 14ct or 18ct gold — not plated or gold-filled. Material details are always shown clearly on each product page.

Styling & Sizing

The suitability of an earring depends on where the piercing is, whether it’s new or healed, and the jewellery’s size and material. Not all earrings are designed for every piercing.

For fresh or healing piercings, jewellery should be made from implant-grade materials and be the correct length, diameter, and style to allow for swelling and proper healing. For healed piercings, the fit should be secure and comfortable, with the correct post thickness and length for your anatomy.

Key things to check include:

  • Piercing location (lobe, helix, nose, etc.)

  • Gauge (thickness) of the post

  • Post length or ring diameter

  • Thread type (threadless, internally threaded, or hinged)

  • Material quality (APP-approved, implant-grade metals)

If you’re ever unsure, we strongly recommend having your jewellery fitted or checked by a professional piercer. Our team is always happy to help you choose jewellery that’s safe, comfortable, and appropriate for your piercing.

The gauge refers to the thickness of the jewellery post or ring that passes through your piercing. Gauge sizing works in reverse — the higher the number, the thinner the jewellery.

For example:

  • 20g (0.8mm) is thinner

  • 16g (1.2mm) is thicker

Most cartilage piercings are initially pierced at 16g (1.2mm), which is also the standard thickness for our labret posts, including threadless and internally threaded styles. This size offers the strength and stability needed for safe healing.

If your piercing was done with a piercing gun, it is likely smaller than 16g (1.2mm). In this case, you may need to visit a professional piercer to safely stretch the piercing before wearing thicker jewellery.

Our jewellery — including threadless labrets, barbells, huggies, and clicker hoops — is available in a range of gauges, typically 16g (1.2mm) to 20g (0.8mm) depending on the style. Wearing thinner jewellery over time can cause a piercing to naturally shrink. If you ever wish to size back up, a professional piercer can easily and safely stretch it for you.

If you’re unsure which gauge is right for your piercing, our team is always happy to help.

This piece is made from materials commonly used in professional piercing and is suitable for fresh piercings when correctly fitted. Healing varies from person to person and depends on factors such as placement, anatomy, aftercare, and lifestyle. If you’re unsure what’s right for you, we’re always happy to help before you order.

No jewellery can guarantee a specific healing outcome. However, high-quality materials and proper manufacturing can reduce the risk of material-related irritation when compared to lower-grade alternatives. Choosing the correct size and following good aftercare are just as important.

Fitting

Our jewellery is designed for fully healed piercings. To ensure the best fit and to avoid accidental damage, we always recommend having your jewellery fitted by an experienced professional piercer, particularly if it is your first time changing jewellery or if the piece is delicate.

The majority of our jewellery uses a threadless system. Threadless jewellery is secured through gentle tension and friction rather than screws. The pin is intentionally designed to be slightly bent, allowing it to lock securely into the post once inserted. When fitted correctly, this system is extremely reliable while maintaining a clean, seamless appearance.

For pieces that are internally threaded, the attachment screws smoothly into the post. When fitting at home, we recommend working over a sink with the plug in or a soft surface beneath you, as small components can be easily lost.

Our jewellery is crafted from solid gold and designed to be refined and lightweight. Because of this, it should always be handled with care. Avoid applying excessive pressure or forcing any component into place. If jewellery feels resistant or becomes stuck, do not continue — your piercer will be able to assist safely and prevent damage.

For peace of mind and to preserve the integrity of your jewellery, professional fitting is always the preferred option.
